Carbon Reduction Plan

At Levi Care Providers, we recognise our responsibility to operate sustainably and contribute to national efforts to combat climate change. As a committed supported living provider in the UK, we are proud to support the Government’s Net Zero targets and are actively working to reduce our environmental impact.

Emissions Reduction Targets

To support our journey towards Net Zero, we have set ambitious carbon reduction goals. We project that our carbon emissions will reduce to 8 MtCO2e by 2030, representing a 68% reduction compared to our baseline measurements.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

Since establishing our 2022 baseline, we have implemented several key environmental measures and carbon reduction projects. These actions have already achieved an estimated reduction of 8 MtCO2e, equivalent to a 42% reduction against our 2017 baseline.

These improvements are now fully embedded into our day-to-day operations and will continue to support low-carbon service delivery.

Key Actions Completed:

• Enhanced energy efficiency across our care facilities

• Upgraded systems and equipment to lower energy consumption

• Reduced travel emissions through route planning and remote alternatives

• Increased use of digital communication and documentation

Planned Carbon Reduction Initiatives

To continue building on our progress and move closer to Net Zero, Levi Care Providers is planning the following initiatives:

• Transition to a fully electric vehicle fleet where practical

• Install solar panels on facility rooftops (subject to feasibility)

• Switch to 100% renewable electricity suppliers

• Provide staff training in carbon literacy and sustainable care practices

• Expand digitisation to reduce the need for printing, travel, and physical storage

• Work closely with our suppliers to improve sustainability across the supply chain and address Scope 3 emissions

Future Carbon Reduction Measures

Looking ahead, we are committed to delivering further initiatives, including:

• Transitioning to hybrid or electric vehicles for staff transport and home visits

• Implementing route optimisation software to minimise travel time and fuel use

• Improving insulation in care homes and office premises to reduce energy loss

• Replacing existing lighting systems with energy-efficient LED alternatives

• Rolling out digital record-keeping systems to minimise paper usage

At Levi Care Providers, sustainability is a key pillar of our care ethos. We are proud to be making meaningful progress toward Net Zero, and we will continue to innovate and invest in environmentally responsible practices to create a healthier future for the people we support—and the planet we share.
